Las Vegas, NV, February 24, 2022 – MJ Holdings Inc. (OTCQB: MJNE) is excited for the first grow of their 260-acre farm in Amargosa valley. In less than a month, and subject to issuance of the certificate of occupancy, two state of the art greenhouses are scheduled to produce  as many as  10 different cannabis strains. In preparation, The Company  has added an additional critical employee to the team.

Charles Watson is the newest addition to the MJ Holdings Inc . As a Cannabis Compliance Officer, he will assist managing METRC and the process of maintaining 100% compliance at all facilities. He brings 7 years of experience in the cannabis industry across  multiple cannabis markets.

Over the past 7 years , Charles was a key team member in opening  dispensary locations in multiple states for several  industry-leading companies.  He has experience with product transportation and logistics, has built an inventory QC department for the world’s largest dispensary, located near  the Las Vegas strip, and for the same company, ran a 100% compliant compliance operation (retail METRC)  as  the showroom dispensary was shut down and pivoted to delivery-only service at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since 2012, Charles has broadcast his support for cannabis as co-host and producer of independent radio shows Underground Experiments and Bakercast. As a radio host, he has had the honor of interviewing industry pioneers such as the founders of Mary’s Medicinal, Incredibles, and many other trail-blazing cannabis companies. His many interviews include industry leaders such as  Steven Hager, the former editor of High Times and the founder of the cannabis cup, and Jason Harris the founder of Jerome Baker Designs.

Charles has previously worked with Planet 13 in both Nevada and California. At Planet 13 Las Vegas, he built, hired, and trained the retail inventory QC team that maintained complete compliance as the team passed all internal and external audits. At Planet 13 Orange County, he hired and trained all inventory employees and designed inventory operations for both the distribution and retail licenses.

During his time in Colorado, he worked with industry leaders such as Native Roots and Lightshade assisting both with opening a new dispensary location. While at Lowspark, he drove the Vail and Durango routes before working at the distro hub helping to maintain METRC compliance.

Charles’ thoughts on cannabis and compliance have been published and read internationally as he was interviewed by The Times, a London based Newspaper, about cannabis and compliance in the article “Yes, it’s legal (but the law’s still a drag)” in their August 22, 2016, edition.

He is also OSHA 30 certified and takes workplace safety very seriously.

When asked about the position Charles said, “I’m excited to bring my experience and appreciation of compliance to a leading, publicly traded, cannabis company like MJ Holdings Inc. My years in the cannabis industry have been nothing but amazing and I’m looking forward to growing both individually and collectively as a company and industry.”
