How is MJ Holdings Inc. working on ESG with the Amargosa Valley cannabis farm?
“Being environmentally-friendly has been a big focus for us since we started the farm and want to maintain this focus as we continue to grow”, said Al Reasonover, Director of Operations & Development at MJ Holdings Inc. “
Solar panels are used to collect and harness the power of the sun to power equipment and lights used throughout the farm. In Amargosa Valley there are on average 292 sunny days which provide constant, free, full spectrum sunlight being used to both power the farm and some lights for the greenhouses.
Underground aquifers with more than 60 million gallons of replenish-able water are used to irrigate the plants. We use a Reverse Osmosis ( RO) system to ensure the water is suitable for the plants and the wastewater from the RO system is used for dust control.
We are proud to further our goal of being carbon negative and will continue as we grow and expand.
